The Pérez Art Museum Miami has been known under its current name shortly; however, its history extends much further than that. It has brought to Miami culture, art and education for over two decades in a variety of ways. PAMM’s collection begins as far back as 1996, when it began to focus on art from the Atlantic Rim (the Americas, Western Europe and Africa) from the 20th and 21st centuries. Today, the collection holds more than 1,800 pieces.
